This cute little recipe rolls together apple pie with our favorite Pillsbury frozen dough, so there’s really nothing not to love about it.
When there’s an opportunity to make dessert with frozen Pillsbury dough, we’re always down to try. That’s how we came to make these Caramel Apple Pie Bombs for the first time. They’re packed with our favorite, familiar apple pie flavor and take just 15 minutes to make.
Because you’ll be able to make eight of them in one batch, they’re prefect to share with friends or family – or even just have on hand as an afternoon snack for your family when you all get home from work and school. Here’s how you can make it for your family today.
- 8 oz. can Pillsbury refrigerated crescent rolls (8 crescents)
- 8 unwrapped soft caramel candies
- 8 tablespoons apple pie filling
- Cinnamon sugar mixture
Preheat oven to 350ºF. Then, line a large baking sheet with baking paper, aluminum foil, or parchment paper. Set aside.
Pop open the can of Pillsbury dough, then unroll the crescent roll dough and separate all the triangles.
Take one crescent roll triangle and place in the center one caramel and about 1 tablespoon apple pie filling. Don’t add too much! You want to be able to roll the dough together in the end.
Take one corner of the triangle (not the longer tip), and then fold over the filling. Repeat with the other corners and roll the dough tightly together into a ball.
Make sure all the openings and edges are sealed, then roll into a sphere.
Then, take each dough ball and dip it into the cinnamon sugar mixture to coat it evenly.
Place all the rolled, sugared balls onto your prepared baking sheet. Leave 2 inches between all of the balls.
Bake for 12-15 minutes until the bombs are golden brown. Serve warm and enjoy!
