We had no idea cake mix could be so versatile until we saw this cake mix cookie recipe. Here’s how you can make it for yourself in less than half an hour!
If you’re tired of using boxed cookie mixes to make cookies, try doing the same with cake mix. Cake mix cookies are just as simple as their cookie counterparts, and can actually be even richer than regular cookies.
For Heidi from The Frugal Gals, this recipe is one that is “honestly a breeze to make” and “satisf[ies] every chocolate craving” ever.
Here’s how you can make 3 dozen of these delicious treats for yourself in no time at all.
Preheat your oven to 350ºF.
Combine one 15.25-oz box of Betty Crocker Triple Chocolate Fudge Cake Mix with half a cup of vegetable oil (or canola oil!) and 2 eggs. Mix these ingredients well.
Add 1 cup of Nestle Toll House Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips to the mix and stir well.
Chill the dough in the fridge for 1 hour. This is important, as it allows all the ingredients to hold together better, giving you more solid cookies.
Roll about 36 dough balls out onto a non-stick cookie sheet, then bake for 7 to 9 minutes.
