Asian American Feminist Collective
The Asian American Feminist Collective encompasses a team of individuals whose backgrounds include East, Southeast, and South Asian; Pacific Islander; multi-ethnic; and diasporic Asian identities. The leadership committee at the Collective aims to create safe spaces for conversation, dialogue, and activism for intersectional feminist politics.
Part of the Collective’s work includes a zine, as well as public events, resources, and opportunities for political education, community building, and advocacy.
I submitted my personal essay as an entry to the Collective’s “First Times” stories—stories about people’s various first time experiences.
